Top 5: Yoga-Loving Kids, Zach Brown 5K

Zach Brown's virtual 5K is giving people everywhere the chance raise funds for the Angioma Alliance.

1. Bouncing, Stretching and Giggling with Whole Kids Yoga
Sounds of deep breathing, stretching, calming music and giggles could be heard from a group workout room atEdgewater Fitness Monday afternoon as area kids practiced their yoga moves. Roughly 20 kids aged 5 to 12 filled the studio for the third and final week of Whole Kids Yoga.

2. Zach Brown’s Virtual 5K Offers Worldwide Support
In an effort to help Zach Brown and the families of the other 1.5 million Americans affected by Cavernous Angioma, Zach and his mom are orchestrating a national 5K walk or run to raise funds for theAngioma Alliance.

3. RISE for Autism Brings Golf Tournament to Davidsonville
After her son was diagnosed with Autism in 2003, Anne Arundel County mom Cheryl Antlitz began attending seminars and gathering as much information as she could about the disorder affecting her son. Now she is leading the fight to help other individuals with autism and their families, and is brining a fundraiser to south county. 

4. South River Grad Helps AAMC’s Youngest Patients
South River grad, and current High Point University senior Natalie Page just wrapped up a summer internship with Anne Arundel Medical Center’s (AAMC) Child Life program. Page worked as a Child Life Practicum Student in the in-patient and emergency department.
