Toxicology Report Still Pending from McDevitt Crash

Brian McDevitt lost control of his Acura and struck a BMW with two teenagers inside it on Jan. 28.

Police investigators determined that reckless driving and excessive speed were the primary causes of the crash on Jan. 28 that , co-founder of the Anne Arundel County Breaking News and Events Facebook Page.

McDevitt was killed in a two-car crash on Fort Smallwood Road near Devere Drive after police said he , crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a BMW carrying two teenagers. Police said McDevitt was thrown from his car and pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Evidence at the scene suggested that alcohol was involved in addition to excessive speed, according to police.

In an email to Patch, Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Justin Mulcahy said investigators were still looking into the possibility of alcohol and that toxicology results were pending.

On the same day as McDevitt’s crash, in a Route 50 accident when a car carrying three people drove on the wrong side of the highway and struck another vehicle.

Four days later, Maryland State Police released toxicology reports and told NBC reporters that  behind the wheel.
