Police: Former Employees Attempted To Rob Edgewater Chipotle

Police used a helicopter and search dogs to find the men hiding under a pier.

Two Edgewater men were arrested Wednesday night in connection with an attempted robbery of the  located off Solomons Island Road, according to a police report.

Anne Arundel County police officers responded to the Chipotle around 11:48 p.m. for an alarm that had been sounded, said police spokesman Justin Mulcahy. Prior to arriving, police learned that two suspects had been inside the building but had run across Solomons Island Road, behind the .

Police used a helicopter and a K-9 unit to search for the suspects who were ultimately found hiding under a pier, Mulcahy said.

Police identified the suspects as Joshua Luke Price, 29, and Steven Robert Tomlinson, 22, both of Edgewater. The two men were identified as former Chipotle employees after additional investigations, police said. Price and Tomlinson were charged with attempted theft and burglary. 

Mulcahy said no money was taken from the Chipotle and no damage was done to the business.
