South county residents are more fortunate than most, with plenty of local places offering beautiful views over the South River. While not all establishments have picturesque views, several local restaurants are offering specials to make an evening with your loved one extra memorable.

Here's a must-have list if you're planning a Valentine's Day "night out" in Edgewater-Davidsonville:

• Employees confirmed there will definitely be a "special menu for two," different than their usual menu.
• Specifics of that menu are still being ironed out by managers and chefs.
• Reservations are not accepted, but call-ahead seating is recommended.

• "There will be no set menu but we are taking reservations," said a receptionist.
• Reservations are highly recommended. Tables can be reserved online too.

—684 W Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035

• Appetizers will include "clams casino," mussels in garlic and Guinness sauce, and a kiwi-mandarin orange salad.
• Rockfish marinated in orange citrus and mustard sauce
• Flat-iron pork
• Two 4-ounce filets stuffed with Annapolis crab dip
• Stuffed flounder, full of lobster and special cream sauce

• No specials will be offered but the restaurant "will definitely get crowded," said one employee.
• Reservations aren't accepted unless the party has 10 people or more
• "The earlier the better," is the best way to get a seat, according to a receptionist.

• Reservations are welcome. Management is still considering what specials to offer.
