Abraham Bhatty, technology education teacher at West Middle School, has received the Technology and Engineering Educators Association of Maryland’s (TEEAM) New Teacher Award. This award recognizes new teachers with under three years of experience for outstanding contributions in the technology and engineering classroom and beyond.
Bhatty graduated from Westminster High School where he developed his career goal to teach technology education. He attended Carroll Community College and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where he earned a bachelor's degree in Technology and Engineering Education. He began his teaching career in September 2020 at West Middle School. As a proud Blue Jay alumnus, he took the opportunity to return to his roots and help shape the education of students in his community. https://www.teeamup.com/
