WATCH: Dilapidated Hospital Looks Like Horror Show

The facility, which has been closed since 1985, has become a regular site for vandalism and trespassing. It is now covered with graffiti and is severely damaged.

A reason the demolition is so expensive is that asbestos has been found throughout the building, according to Barnard. Residents have raised concerns about teenagers and others who frequent the site being exposed to asbestos.
