Don't Worry, Elkridge Fire only Training

Expect smoke and fire in Elkridge Thursday – but don’t worry, really.

The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services is hosting a live fire training at Bauman Drive and Montgomery Road.

According to HCDFRS, smoke will be visible from Interstate 95 and may be seen in Elkridge.

So don’t be too worried if you see signs of fire, however, HCDFRS asks that if you do see smoke or fire, but “cannot absolutely confirm that the smoke or fire is coming from training, please call 9-1-1-.” 

The training, hosted by HCDFRS Education and Training, will run until mid-afternoon.
