Man Robs Bank Inside Walmart

A bank inside Walmart at Arundel Mills Blvd. was robbed Thursday morning after a man walked in, demanded money and showed a small handgun to the bank teller.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said officers arrived at the Wood Forest National Bank in Hanover around 11:56 a.m. inside the Walmart after a report that an armed robbery had just occurred.

A bank employee told police that a man approached a teller and handed her a note demanding money. The teller complied only after suspect showed a small handgun.

The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle waiting outside Walmart, according to police.
