$100K Winning Powerball Ticket Proved Doubly Lucky For Howard County Woman
A Howard County woman who used the power play option on her Powerball ticket doubled her winnings Wednesday.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A Howard County woman nabbed not only the $50,000 Powerball prize in Wednesday's drawing, but, thanks to the power play she selected, she doubled her winnings for a total of $100,000.
The 41-year-old woman from Ellicott City bought the $3 Powerball ticket at the Hanson Mystic gas station in Harford County. She used her own set of numbers and became one of two Marylands who won third-tier prizes with the power play added on.
No one won the jackpot in the Jan. 10 drawing or those that followed, so the jackpot rolls to $104 million for the Saturday drawing. The cash option is $72.5 million.
