Two 13-Year-Old Boys, 14-Year-Old Girl Arrested For Stealing Vehicle: Howard Co. Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two 13-year-old boys and a 14-year-old girl have been arrested and charged in connection to the theft of a vehicle in Hanover.

According to Howard County Police, the incident happened March 8 in the 7000 block of Southmoor Street in Hanover. Police recovered a Hyundai Sonata that had been reported stolen. A 13-year-old boy from Elkridge, a 13-year-old boy from Columbia and a 14-year-old girl from Columbia have been arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft.

In other police news, a man reported that someone fired several shots at his vehicle, which was in the 9500 block of Old Route 108 in Ellicott City March 8 around 6:37 p.m. No injuries were reported and shell casings were recovered from the scene, according to police.

The Holiday Inn located in the 7900 block of Washington Boulevard of Jessup reported someone forced their way into a maintenance room and stole tools March 8 around 12:36 p.m., police reported.

On March 10 around 3 a.m., a suspect broke the front glass of the 7-Eleven located in the 6500 block of Old Waterloo Road in Elkridge and stole tobacco products, according to police.

Several catalytic converters, tires and airbags were stolen from numerous vehicles across the county in the overnight hours of March 7-8 and March 9-10:

• Columbia, 21044: 10100 block of Governor Warfield Parkway, March 7-8 overnight, catalytic converter
• Columbia, 10300 block of Hickory Ridge Road, March 7-8 overnight, catalytic converter
• Columbia,5200 block of Brook Way, March 9-10 overnight, two vehicles: airbags
• Columbia, 4900 block of Columbia Road, March 9-10 overnight, two vehicles: airbags
