$25K Lotto Prize A Happy Ending To Howard County Retiree's Fender Bender

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A retiree from Howard County used some of the license plate numbers from her vehicle that recently was involved in a fender bender and played them on a Pick 5 game. She ended up winning $25,000, turning her luck around. She plans to use the winnings to help buy a convertible.

"I called my friend and said, ‘Can you believe this?’” she told the Maryland Lottery.

Retailers that sell these $25,000 winning tickets earn a bonus of $250 from the lottery, which means Giant #143 located at 4715 Dorsey Hall Road in Ellicott City has a bonus coming its way for selling the lucky ticket.
