4 Suspects Rob Man At Knifepoint + 2 Stores Burglarized: HCPD

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A man reported being approached by four other men and one pulled out a knife and demanded he give them his phone and wallet. The man handed over his personal items and the suspects took off, according to Howard County Police.

The incident happened Dec. 29 around 5:10 p.m. in the 5400 block of Bishops Head Court in Columbia. No one was injured during the incident, the police department reported.

In the overnight Dec. 27-28, Howard Wine & Spirits located in the 7700 block of Hearthside Way was broken into. The suspect(s) forced open the front door and stole cash. In that same timeframe, JJ Liquors, located in the 10000 block of Baltimore National Pike, reported being broken into. The suspect broke the glass front door and stole alcohol, the police department reported.

A home located in the 900 block of Old Woodbine Road in Woodbine was broken into Dec. 28 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The homeowner reported cash and jewelry stolen, according to the police department.

• Laurel, 20723: 9900 block of Washington Boulevard, Dec. 26-27 overnight, nothing reported stolen
• 9700 block of Mountain Laurel Way, Dec. 29-30 overnight, tires
• Jessup, 20794: 7800 block of Rappahannock Avenue, Dec. 27-28 overnight, various items
• Columbia, 21046: 9700 block of Softwater Way, Dec. 29-30 overnight, wallet, other items
• Columbia, 21045: 9300 block of Sharp Antler, Dec. 29-30 overnight, wallet
