Howard County Woman Wins $50K VaxCash 2.0 Promotion, Plans To Buy A Pool
One of two final VaxCash 2.0 promotion winners lives in Howard County. The retiree intends to buy a pool with her winnings.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The final two $50,000 winners from the VaxCash 2.0 promotion have claimed their prizes, including a woman from Ellicott City. She didn't believe she'd won when she was notified by the Maryland Department of Health.
The lucky winner and her husband made a few phone calls to confirm the news. With her prize, the 63-year-old retiree said she plans to buy a pool and save for her grandchildren’s education.
The VaxCash 2.0 promotion awarded $2 million in total cash prizes in weekly drawings from Feb. 15 through May 3 and aimed to incentivize Marylanders to get COVID-19 booster shots.
