HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
Lucas happens to be a beautiful ragdoll who is very laid back and adores attention. Shelter staff describes him as loveable and swet. He's a curious cat and loves to wander around and explore. He's a 5-year-old neutered male and will require routine brushing to prevent matting of his long fur.

An adorable little male adult hamster, Gumball loves to make tunnels in his bedding and would love a home with a large cage filled with tubes and boxes. He hasn't been handled much and would prefer to hang out near his humans and receiving treats, the shelter said.

Tiny in stature, Kyo is approximately 6 years old and purrs the second he begins being petted. He's a bit bashful at first, but with calm and gentle touches, he will seek out your affection. He's curious of other animals, but it isn't known how he'll do with other cats or dogs.

If you're an active person, you'll love Freya. She's an 8-month-old Belgian malinois mix with incredibly soft fur. She's an incredible smart dog and as a working dog, needs to be kept busy. As a puppy, she also needs work on her manners and training. She loves playing and running and would benefit from a fenced-in yard. She enjoys car rides and since she has a loud bark, she'd do best in a single-family home not attached to another dwelling.

For more information about adopting these adorable critters or any others currently at the center, call 410-313-2780 or visit the center's site on PetFinder or its Facebook page. The shelter has resumed normal operating hours.
