HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

Charlie appears to be a bit skeptical of new people at first but this 2-year-old male Chihuahua mix warms up quickly. He was surrendered to the shelter because his previous family said they didn't have time for him with their busy schedule. Charlie deserves a forever family, one that will be patient and take him to obedience classes. He'd do best in a home where the children are older.

Medusa can't wait to find her forever family. She's a 10-month-old female Doberman pinscher full of energy and love. She'll need a fenced-in yard where she can run and play and gets along well with other dogs. Since she arrived as a stray, the shelter doesn't know if she gets along with cats or children. She will be required to take an obedience class upon adoption.

Described as an adorable busy body, 8-year-old Toto is a Cairn terrier mix who would be perfect for someone seeking a small- to medium-sized dog. Weighing about 20 pounds, Toto arrived at the shelter as a stray so they don't know how he will interact with other dogs, cats or children. A slow introduction would be best.

Millie is a spirited 10-month-old female Jack Russell terrier. She's a ball of energy and will need a family with Jack Russell experience to become her new forever family. Little Millie came to the shelter as a stray so the shelter staff doesn't not know how she will do with cats. Since she is still learning her manners, she would do best in a home where the children are older and can participate in her required obedience training.

A gorgeous female long-haired kitty, Francesca resembles a ragdoll mix. She's believed to be 9 months old with a beautiful personality. She's laid back, friendly and curious. Francesca adores being petted and likes to explore what you're doing.
