Armed Home Invasion in Savage + Employee Assaulted At Elkridge Store: Howard County Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The residents of a home located in the 8200 block of Guilford Road of Savage reported a home invasion involving a gun.

According to Howard County Police, the residents told police the home invasion happened Jan. 23 around 9:30 p.m. A man entered their home, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspect then took off without stealing anything, the police department said.

That same day around the same time, a store employee at the Super 24 Latino located in the 7800 block of Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, reported two men with their faces partially covered walking into the store, assaulting him and stuffing a backpack full of cash then fleeing. No one was injured and the backpack with the cash were recovered nearby, the police department stated.
