Ellicott City Basement Fire Quickly Extinguished, No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out at an Ellicott City home Sunday afternoon in the basement. Howard County firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Howard County firefighters were called to the 8500 block of Milldam Court for a report of a house fire.

When they arrived, they found a fire in the basement of the home. They were able to extinguish it within 15 minutes, according to the fire department.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental and the residents were not displaced. No injuries were reported either, the fire department stated.
