"Our community has a diverse population, including many Asian Americans, a core demographic for bb.q Chicken. Also, the Lotte Mall is located nearby, which is expected to make synergy," Kang said.

In 2019, Kang signed a lease to open Maryland's first bb.q Chicken, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and other factors, the eatery's opening had to be postponed, he said.

"Despite the delay, we tried to commit to bringing the authentic Korean flavors of bb.q Chicken to our community as soon as we are able. We were finally able to open our location and we truly appreciate the tremendous support of our customers," Kang said.

Even though customers tend to pick a favorite menu item based on their own taste buds, the Golden Original, Secret Sauce and Honey Garlic have emerged as the most popular dishes at most U.S. and Canadian locations. The restaurant offers wings, K Food options including kimchi fried rice and spicy bowls, and a variety of sides including fried dumplings, steamed rice, pickled radish and cheesling fries.

"We serve our wide variety of flavors on wings, boneless bites and whole chicken," Kang said.

The restaurant offers full dine-in service, takeout and delivery with a seating capacity of 75.

"We hope that our community members will come and enjoy the atmosphere of Korea's finest fried chicken," Kang said.
