Have You Seen This Chatty, Lovable Parrot Named Blu Who's Missing After Flying Off?

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The community's help is needed in finding a Blue Front Amazon parrot named Blu who flew off through her neighborhood in early September and hasn't been seen since.

Blu talks quite a bit, her owner Cindy Leopard told Patch, and will chirp phrases like "I love you," "What are you doing," "You're so beautiful," "Don't you do it LOL" and she sings opera. If someone says to her, "Hi Blu" in a high-pitched voice, she'll respond to that. She also has a band on her foot to help identify her.

"We are completely devastated right now. Our home is not complete without her here. She's a very sweet girl and is a huge party of our family," Leopard told Patch. "We miss her dearly."

Leopard has been scouring the neighborhood, checking in with the local pet store, vet offices, the SPCA and elsewhere. Blue was last seen near Bali Road in the Autumn Hill neighborhood. If anyone spies her in a tree or in their neighborhood, you're asked to contact Leopard at 757-633-6232. A reward will be available for Blue's safe return home.
