Church Break-in, Armed Robbery: Howard County Crime Roundup

Howard County Police are looking for two teenagers in connection with an armed robbery in Laurel.
According to police, the victim was sitting in his car on the 9300 block of Canterbury Riding just after midnight on Saturday when a young woman asked to use his phone. According to the victim, when he gave her the phone, a young man approached him, showed a gun and demanded money.

The victim surrendered his wallet and money, according to police, and then the suspect demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The victim handed over the keys and the suspects fled toward All Saint’s Road.

- Suspect 1: Sixteen-year-old male about 5-foot-6 wearing a black or blue hooded sweatshirt
- Suspect 2: Sixteen-year-old female about 5 feet with braided hair.
Sometime between last Wednesday and Saturday, suspects used a sprinkler head to force a back window open of the Glenwood Baptist Church on the 3800 block of Route 97, according to police. Several guitars and an amplifier were reported missing.
Nothing was reported missing from Bell Wireless Center on the 6400 block of Dobbin Center Road, according to police, but suspects broke out a side window with a cinder block and got inside sometime between last Thursday evening and Friday morning.
On Saturday, suspects entered a home on the 2600 block of Florence Road in Mt. Airy at about 7:20 a.m., according to police. The suspects entered through an open garage door and an unlocked interior door. Police say suspects stole car keys and a car with the tags MD 7CDD09.
Suspects entered a home on the 7000 block of Garden Walk on Sunday between 1 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., according to police. The suspects gained entry through an unlocked door in the back of the house and stole a purse, wallet and laptop computer, according to police.
A Columbia man and a Baltimore man were arrested for stealing a Kawasaki ATV from the 8900 block of Old Montgomery Road on Monday. The two face unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and theft.
