Howard Co. Man Charged In Baltimore Woman's Homicide

BALTIMORE, MD — A Howard County man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a woman in the 800 block of Chesapeake Avenue in Baltimore, officials said Monday.

Baltimore Police said Shanelle Cawthorne, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene about 1 a.m. on Dec. 13.

The department said Monday that detectives have arrested Emanuel Thomas, 34, of Howard County in the death of Cawthorne.

On Dec. 26, detectives arrested Thomas in the 1200 block of East Preston Street.

He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first- and second-degree murder and multiple handgun violations.
