Construction Project To Stabilize Stream Banks Starts Soon
The county will start a construction project to stabilize Wood Creek stream banks Monday. It should wrap up next spring.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A construction project to stabilize the stream banks through the Wood Creek stream near 5381 White Mane between MD 108 and Carroll Mill Road in Ellicott City will start Monday.
The county doesn't expect the project to affect traffic. Work will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The project includes vegetative plantings and the installation of stone walls to prevent further erosion and stabilize the stream bank and to protect nearby homes, the county stated.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late March 2026.
