Free Bikes 4 Kidz is collecting gently used and new bicycles Saturday that will be refurbished and donated to children and other nonprofits.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Donations of gently used and new children's bicycles are being accepted Saturday during Free Bikes 4 Kidz special event.
The nonprofit organization collects children's bikes that they then refurbish thanks to the help of hundreds of volunteers in October. Then the bikes are given away directly to local kids in need and Maryland nonprofits in December.
On Saturday, bicycles can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at any Howard County fire station. Bikes also can be dropped off at 5178 Downwest Ride in Columbia or at 111 Starhill Lane in Catonsville now through Oct. 6.
