Fire Heavily Damages Ellicott City Home, Spreads To Surrounding Trees And Brush
An Ellicott City home was heavily damaged by a fire that broke out Saturday. Firefighters had to battle flames from nearby trees and brush.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD â A home was heavily damaged by fire Saturday and the state fire marshal's office is investigating the incident.
Around 10 p.m. Aug. 23, Howard County firefighters were called to the 3100 block of Saint Charles Place in Ellicott City. They found heavy fire throughout the home, which was unoccupied at the time.
The home is located in a wooded area, so crews had to also battle flames that had spread to surrounding trees and brush, the fire department stated.

There were no injuries reported and mutual aid was provided by two other counties' fire departments.
