Garage Fire In Ellicott City Spreads To Home Displacing Residents
A fire broke out Thursday afternoon in a garage in Ellicott City, which spread to the attached home, according to the fire department.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD â A fire broke out Thursday afternoon in an attached garage connected to an Ellicott City home. No one was injured in the fire.
According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, the fire was detected around 1:30 p.m. at the home located in the 3500 block of Lakeway Drive in Ellicott City. The first crew of firefighters on the scene found the blaze in the garage that had spread into the house. Tankers were brought in enough water to attack the fire, the fire department stated.
The fire was quickly brought under control, but the residents were displaced, the fire department reported. There weren't any civilian or fire fighter injuries reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Office of the Fire Marshal.
