Howard County Woman Uses Genetic Test To Search For Half-Siblings From Donor Conception
A HoCo woman has found she has an abundance of siblings thanks to genetic testing. They have the same donor dad but different moms.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — When Brenna Siperko of Ellicott City turned 19, she decided to submit her DNA to a genetics service. As a donor-conceived baby, she knew the possibility of having siblings was real and she wanted to meet them.
Turns out she had 13 siblings - initially. She was added to a group chat where she discovered she had more like 20 siblings. Each were donor-conceived siblings with a different mother but the same donor dad. The oldest is 27 and the youngest is a teenager. They all live across the country and all know the number combination 20-46 - their father's donor ID.
"I'd still, like, go places and imagine one of the people was the sperm donor or, like, some random kid was my sibling," siblings Berenguer Gil said. "I just knew there'd be a lot of us."

They all get along and enjoy connecting with each other.
"I feel like, since we didn't grow up together our whole lives, we don't really get tired of each other," Siperko said.
