Koha, Hero: Adorable Adoptables Of The Week In Howard County
These pets are searching for their forever homes. They are currently at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
Affectionate, bashful, loving and cuddly are the best qualities of this young boy, according to the animal shelter. Koha will shower you with loyalty if you choose him. He can be nervous in new situations, which prompts him to bark. He needs someone who will lead him and tell him everything is okay and show him you'll keep him safe. This almost 1-year-old pup listens well and will climb onto your lap for snuggles.
Koha is very smart and is doing well learning basic doggy manners like sit, wait and come here. He is strong and needs a bit more leash training. He'd benefit from socializing with other puppers, too, although he is enamored with Hermosa and will follow her around and play chase. He also wanted to play with a small kitten he was introduced to. Koha appears to be a mixed breed with some American pit bull in him, so due to landlord and insurance pet policies, Koha’s adoption requires you to own your home and have a fenced-in yard.

Smart, loyal and affectionate, Hero has a sweet soul and makes shelter staff smile every day. He doesn't need a lot of exercise and enjoys leisurely walks where he can explore. He loves hanging out with the female dogs, especially sweet Hermosa, and will zip around when he gets a case of the zoomies. He bonds quickly to those he trusts and loves people As a mixed breed dog, he appears to have some American pit bull terrier and is approximately 7 or 8 years old.
Hero is pretty laid back and greets people calmly. He's smart and listens well. Due to landlord and insurance pet policies, Hero’s adoption requires his human to own his or her home. A fenced yard also is required for him; however, if your yard is not fenced, call the shelter to see if your home situation would be a good match for Hero.
