LAUREL, MD — KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot has opened its doors at 351 Montrose Avenue in the Laurel Shopping Center.

With an all-you-can-eat dining experience merging traditional Asian hot pot and Korean bbq flavors, the Laurel location happens to be the fourth site in the DMV. The other Maryland sites include Catonsville, Frederick, Germantown, Hagerstown, Rockville and Towson.

"We’re thrilled to be opening KPOT in the Laurel Shopping Center," said KPOT’s Laurel location owner Joon Hyun. "We absolutely love the strong sense of community in Laurel and hope to be a gathering spot where the community can come together for lively conversation over a feast of good food for many years to come."

Hyun previously served as the general manager at the Rockville location for the past four years before opening the Laurel location, a place he considers to be like home. KPOT’s nearly 10,000-square-foot space in Laurel offers seating for more than 300 guests, including a 20-plus-seat full bar.

"I've been around Laurel my entire life. And two things, in particular, have always stood out to me: the classic Arby's sign and the retro Giant sign. The fact that I could secure a spot in a shopping center with so much history means a lot to me. Located in the easily accessible Laurel Shopping Center and with nearly 10,000 square feet, it was the ideal space for my vision. I look forward to KPOT becoming an integral part of the community for many years to come," Hyun told Patch.
