Lane Closures Expected During Construction Project In Ellicott City
A construction project in Ellicott City started Monday and will require intermittent lane closures through March when the project ends.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The final phase of a construction project that installs sidewalks, curbs and storm drains along Northfield Road in Ellicott City has stated.
As part of Howard County’s WalkHoward plan to connect the neighborhood to Northfield Elementary School and Dunloggin Middle School, this last phase of the project will install sidewalk along the north side of Northfield Road.
Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late March 2025.

Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic, because temporary closures of the westbound lane can be expected throughout the project during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
