Lanes Along Savage Guilford Road, Vollmerhausen Road To Close Monday For Project

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Starting Monday, work will begin to replace the existing pressure reduction valve near the intersection of Savage Guilford Road and Vollmerhausen Road in Savage.

A pressure reduction valve allows for the easier transfer of water from high pressure zones to lower pressure zones. Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late September 2024.

While construction is happening, the northbound lane on Savage Guilford Road and westbound lane on Vollmerhausen Road in the vicinity of the project area will be closed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic during this time.
