Main Street Music Fest Postponed Until 2026

Organizers announced recently that the 2025 Main Street Music Fest has been canceled but will make a return in the fall of 2026.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The popular Main Street Music Fest in Old Ellicott City has been canceled for this year, but will return next fall.

The Ellicott City Partnership announced recently that they made the "difficult decision" to postpone the one-day music event after "a lot of heart-to-heart talks."

"It was not an easy decision, but we believe it’s the right one to ensure we return next September with the kind of unforgettable festival you all deserve," the organization posted on Facebook.

According to The Baltimore Sun, other festivals were happening in the area at the same time. Julia Sanger, president of the partnership, said the nonprofit did not want to compete with the other events and switching dates last minute would have been too difficult.

“[Main Street Music Fest] is something that is important to our town, and we recognize the significance of it,” Sanger told the Sun. “We want to make sure that what we’re giving people is what they’re looking for and what they’ve expected.”
