Man Solicited Minor For Sex In Online Sting: MD State Police

A Howard County man has been charged after MD State Police say he solicited sex from an officer posing as a child via an online app.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A Howard County man has been arrested by Maryland State Police after he solicited sex from an undercover law enforcement officer who was posing as a child over an online app.

According to the Maryland State Police, Rohit Agarwal, 48, of Ellicott City was arrested Tuesday in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Anne Arundel County. He was arrested without incident at the scene with assistance from the Fort Meade Army Criminal Investigation Office.

Agarwal has been charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a minor. He was taken to the District Court of Anne Arundel County where he will wait to appear before a court commissioner.
