Public Can Weigh In On Proposed Elkridge Community Center Plans

The community is invited to attend a public meeting where they can express opinions about the proposed Elkridge Community Center.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The community can weigh in on the design of the proposed Elkridge Community Center that will include a 50+ Center.

The public meeting will take place Nov. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department.

“As I recently outlined in my state of the county address, our Elkridge community has long advocated for a community center, a high school, indoor track and other amenities to help its members of all ages, grow and thrive,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “Part of our vision for an Elkridge Civic District in fact includes a new Elkridge Community Center, which will also house our new Elkridge 50+ Center. With the purchase of more than 25 acres of land, we envision our new, approximately 65,000 square feet Elkridge Community Center to feature an athletic center, meeting space, gymnasium, early childcare learning rooms, activity rooms and space for a future pool addition.”
