Where To Find National Night Out Festivities Across Howard County

Howard County Police welcomes residents to National Night Out Tuesday at Blandair Park East. There also will be 20 block parties Tuesday.

National Night Out 2025 will take place at Blandair Park East, 5749 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia, starting at 5 p.m. The free event will feature police and fire displays, live music, child-friendly activities, games, giveaways and more.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The community is invited to join Howard County police officers for National Night Out Tuesday, with activities kicking off at 5 p.m. on Aug. 5.

The fun will take place at Blandair Park East, 5749 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia. Starting at 5 p.m., Howard County Deputy Chief Jeff Specht, County Executive Calvin Ball and County Council member Deb Jung will welcome community members to the event.

The free event will feature police and fire displays, live music, child-friendly activities, games, giveaways and more. Food trucks also will be on site.

There also will be 20 neighborhood block parties held across the county, which were organized by the police department’s Community Outreach Division and residents. Police and Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services personnel, as well as partners from state and local agencies, will visit neighborhood parties throughout the county.
