New K-9 Officer Joins Howard County Police Department

A new K-9 officer named Pegy has started her duties with the Howard County Police Department after graduating from her 16-week training.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The police department has a new recruit on the force. K-9 Officer Pegy has graduated from her 16-week training after passing her final test.

K-9 Officer Pegy's training included narcotics detection, building searches, missing persons, evidence recovery and more. She has joined Howard County Police Patrol Officer Chris Omesh on duty.
