Nominees For Educator Recognition In Howard County Sought

Nominations are open through March 28 to recognize Howard County educators who demonstrate exemplary commitment to students.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Nominations from the public are open through March 28 to recognize educators who demonstrate exemplary commitment to the needs of advanced-level learners and/or the Howard County Gifted and Talented Education Program.

The annual Howard County Public Schools System Educator Recognition Program is sponsored by the Advanced Programs Advisory Committee.

Families and students can recognize a gifted and talented resource teacher, content or classroom teacher, school counselor, administrator, achievement liaison or HCPSS-affiliated advisor who has enriched the educational experience of advanced-level learners, according to a news release.

All educators for whom submissions are received will be recognized, the school system said.

Submissions will be accepted via the online Advanced Programs Advisory Educator Recognition Form through March 28.

The form includes a minimum 150-word description of the educator’s contribution to the education of advanced-level learners. Additional information and submission instructions are available online.
