Patuxent Roller Derby Hosts Roller Prom To Fundraise For New Rink, Celebrate Season's End

Patuxent Roller Derby hosted a roller prom Oct. 7 to help fundraise for a new rink, celebrate their season's end and recruit new members.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Patuxent Roller Derby hosted a "roller prom" Saturday to celebrate the end of their season.

Led by team president Tricky Nicky and treasurer Jillenium Falcon, participants skated around the rink while enjoying tunes from the '80s.

"It’s an open skate. Everyone is rolling around having fun. It’s really great to watch. It seems intimidating but it's not at all," they both told FOX45 News.
