Phish Fans Support Music in Ellicott City School
The Mockingbird Foundation has supplied The Linwood Center with a grant for musical instruments.

A nonprofit foundation set up by fans of the band Phish has awarded Ellicott City’s Linwood Center a grant for its fine arts program.
The Mockingbird Foundation this year announced 10 grants worth more than $46,000 to support music education for children. Included in those grants is $4,000 for musical instruments for The Linwood Center, a school for children with autism.
The instruments will come as the school prepares for groundbreaking on a new, 36,000-square-foot building, which will allow the school – – to admit a broader range of students.
