Pie Five Pizza Co. Has Plans for Ellicott City Location

A pizza restaurant that makes pies in under five minutes has reportedly set its sights on Ellicott City.

Pie Five Pizza has signed a lease for a 2,300-square-foot space at Arcadia Square in Ellicott City that it plans to open in the next year, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Patrons at Pie Five can choose from four crusts and more than a million combinations for their pizzas, all of which are handcrafted in under five minutes. Options on the menu include different sauces, cheeses, meats and vegetables. The restaurant also offers salads and pie for dessert.

Since its founding in the Dallas area in 2011, Pie Five Pizza Co. has grown to the point where it now has 150 franchise restaurants under contract in a dozen states and Washington, D.C.

When the Owings Mills restaurant opened in October, it marked the chain’s 25th location, according to Restaurant News, which said local franchise owner Jeff Mengel anticipates opening up to 12 in the Baltimore area, where he lives.
