Police Seek Missing Ellicott City Man (UPDATE)

Howard County Police spokeswoman Mary Phelan said Charles Turner was found at his home earlier this morning in good condition.

Police had issued a silver alert at about 2 a.m. today after Turner's family said they had not seen him since 4 p.m. Sunday.

Baltimore County Police cancelled the silver alert issued for Charles Turner, WBAL reported. 

Howard County Police issued the alert at about 2 a.m., reporting Turner had last been seen near Ann Arundel County.

Police in that county called off the search for Turner at about 8 a.m. Monday however, according to WBAL, officials did not say if Turner had been found or what condition he was in.

Howard County Police Spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said at about 10 a.m. Monday that she did not have any information about the alert being cancelled.

Howard County Police are looking for an elderly Ellicott City man who has dementia. 

Police say Charles Turner was last spotted near Route 32 in the Fort Meade area of Anne Arundel County at about 10 p.m. Sunday.

A family member last saw Charles Turner leave his home on the 8800 block of Bosley Road at about 4 p.m. Sunday. Turner said he would be right back, according to the relative, but he never returned.

Turner has been diagnosed with dementia and requires medications. Police say he also does not typically drive at night and does not have a cell phone with him. 

Turner is bald, 210 pounds and stands about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing khaki pants, a navy T-shirt and a burgundy sweater and driving a 2005 Lexus SUV with Maryland tags DV3482.

Police are asking anyone with information about Turner to call 911.
