Popular Produce Stand In Ellicott City Burglarized In The Overnight

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A popular produce stand recently was broken into and cash stolen from the building.

The incident happened overnight Sept. 15-16 at Baugher's Fruits and Vegetables, located at 4775 Baugher Farm Road, according to police. Howard County Police reported that the suspect forced open the door and stole the cash that was there at some point in the overnight hours.

Baugher's Orchard and Farm can be found at 1015 Baugher Road in Westminster where there's an orchard market, a petting zoo, a bakery, merchandise with goodies such as mums, an ice shop called Mrs. B's and the option to pick-your-own apples and sunflowers when they're in season.

The petting zoo features such critters as donkeys, chickens, lambs, pigs, turkeys, ducks, cows, rabbits, peacocks, emus, guinea fowl and goats.

There's also Baugher's Restaurant located at 289 W. Main Street in Westminster. It opened in 1948 by Edward & Romaine Baugher, features country style breakfast, lunch, and dinners. Baugher’s Fruit Market is located next door to the restaurant.
