Mathew said the benefits of attending The Goddard School include not just the compassionate and hardworking faculty, but also because of their Wonder of Learning education program.

"The Wonder of Learning education program is focused on child-led, inquiry-driven learning rooted in play and curiosity with an emphasis on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math), with activities like yoga, music and outdoor play woven in—all designed by specialists in early childhood education," Mathew told Patch.

A native of Texas, Mathew has called Maryland home since 1990. She has a background in child psychology and molecular biology, and studied at the University of Texas and Towson University. She has two daughters and one was one of the first graduates of the Goddard School in Marriottsville.
