School Supply Giveaway With Pre-Filled Backpacks For Howard Co. Kids Planned For August
Howard County students can pick up a pre-filled backpack brimming with school supplies on a first-come-first-served basis next month.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Students can pick up pre-packed backpacks for school at a special event Aug. 9.
The event will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and pre-filled backpacks will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Organized by the Howard County Department of Community Resources and Services and its Office of the Local Children’s Board, registration isn't required.

Backpacks will be handed out Aug. 9 at the following locations:
- Deep Run Elementary School - 6925 Old Waterloo Road, Elkridge 21075
- Howard County MultiService Center - 9900 Washington Boulevard, Laurel 20723
- Howard Crossing Apartment Homes - 8732 Town and Country Boulevard, Ellicott City 21043
- Wilde Lake High School - 5460 Trumpeter Road, Columbia 21044
