Smash and Grabs in Jessup, Break-ins in Columbia: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Mt Airy: Break-In

Between 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 13, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 2400 block of Mullinix Mill Road and moved around items. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Between 11:50 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. on Sept. 14, an unknown number of suspects entered the rear basement window of a residence on the 7000 block of Copperwood Way, stealing a laptop.

Between 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 14, an unknown number of suspects pried open the front door of a residence on the 8900 block of Early April Way, stealing a purse and jewelry.

Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 14, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear window of a residence on the 9300 block of Wheatsheaf Way, stealing two video game controllers.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft Attempt

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 14, a vehicle on the 5300 block of Smooth Meadow Way had its ignition tampered with.

Savage: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sept. 14, a red 2006 Dodge Magnum with Washington, DC, tags CV3722 was stolen from Von Paris and Sons, on the 8600 block of Larkin Road.

Jessup: Smash and Grab

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, an unknown number of suspects broke a front glass door of El Patio Market, on the 7900 block of Washington Boulevard, and stole cigarettes.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, an unknown number of suspects broke the front glass door of Bob’s BMW, on the 10700 block of Guilford Road, and stole fiber wheels.

Laurel: Break-In

Between 5:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, an unknown number of suspects broke a front glass door of a residence on the 9000 block of Moonshine Hollow, reaching in to unlock the door and destroying electronics and clothing.

Between 11:15 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 9200 block of Redbridge Court, stealing a video game and mp3 docking station.
