Taste Test Night Encourages Families, Students To Rate School Food
HCPSS families and their students will be sampling and rating school food on the menu at a special Taste Test night this week.
JESSUP, MD — Parents and students will be sampling and weighing in on school food menu items at a special Taste Test Night Thursday.
Earlier this year, HCPSS, the Horizon Foundation and the Healthier Choices Coalition announced a number of planned initiatives beginning this school year to improve school meals. The Taste Test Night is the first of these initiatives designed to improve the healthfulness, quality and taste of school meals and to better incorporate parent and student feedback.
The special night will take place in the cafeteria of Guilford Park High School located at 8500 Ridgelys Run Rd., Jessup, from 6 to 7 p.m. Registration for the event currently is full, according to the sign-up site.
