Thousands Of Howard County Residents Without Water After Line Ruptures
As of 7 a.m. Monday, only two homes out of thousands were without water as crews scrambled to reroute water lines and make repairs.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Thousands of residents in Ellicott City, Elkridge and neighborhoods around Snowden River Parkway were without water or dealt with low pressure Sunday after a 36-inch drinking water main ruptured coming out of the Elkridge Pumping Station.
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball took to Twitter Sunday to explain that crews were working to fix the repair.
"There are two tanks that it actually fills, Skaggsville and Snowden," Ball said. "The Skaggsville tank is almost full and the Snowden tank should be full by midnight."
