2 Teens Killed In Essex Crash: Police
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
ESSEX, MD — Two teens were killed in an overnight crash in which a car hit a tree in Essex, according to police.
The victims were identified by police as 18-year-old Austin Lautenschlager, the driver, and 19-year-old David Santos III, a rear passenger.
Lautenschlager was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu west shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Holly Neck Road, when the car left the road and struck at least one tree, according to police, who said both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
