Essex Crime: Storage Lockers Burglarized

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Three storage lockers were burglarized at a Middle River self-storage lot.

According to police reports, the thefts occurred between Feb. 18-20 on the 200 block of Eyring Ave. Among the items taken were two mitre saws,a snow blower and a chainsaw.

The property owner told police on Feb. 25 there were no video surveillance of the property and he waited several days to report the crimes because he had been sick.

Brighton Manor Drive, 600 block, between 1 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 24: Between $25 and $50 in quarters were stolen from the coin box of a dryer located in a laundry room of an apartment complex.

N. Marlyn Ave., 300 block, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:38 p.m. Feb. 23: A tablet, computer and Xbox were stolen from a home after someone kicked in the front door to remove the electronics. Total loss: $700.

S. Woodward Drive, 500 block, between 8:30 a.m. Feb. 15 and 8 a.m. Feb. 22: A few feet of copper tubing were stolen from Sussex Elementary after someone climbed up to the roof of the school building to take the supplies.

Foxchase Lane, 1000 block, 3:35 a.m. Feb. 23: Four tattoo guns, several bottles of tattoo ink, $5 and a pack of cigarettes were stolen from a home. The suspect entered the home through an unlocked basement door and fled after being startled by one of the residents. Total loss: $192.

Cunninghill Cove Road, between 5 p.m. Feb. 22 and 4:41 a.m. Feb. 23: Two ATVs were stolen and later recovered nearby after being stolen from a shed.

Vincent Ave., unit block, between 7 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Feb. 22: Three cameras, a 42-inch flat-screen TV and a PlayStation 3 were stolen from a home after someone kicked open a door to gain entry into the residence. Total loss: $2,300.

Bird River Road, 10200 block, between 5 p.m. Feb. 21 and 10:45 a.m. Feb. 22: About 30 feet of copper wiring was stolen from a BGE power station after someone cut a hole in a fence to gain entry onto the property. Total loss: $500.

Middleborough Road, 1200 block, between 10 a.m. Feb. 21 and 11:27 a.m. Feb. 22: A washing machine was vandalized, the coin mechanism was broken and $50 in coins were stolen from the machine located in an apartment building.
