Franklin Square Celebrates Expansion of Eastern Family Resource Center

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center held a reception Aug. 2 to celebrate the expansion of the Eastern Family Resource Center.

The reception recognized the many individuals who were responsible for securing $2.5 million in state funding used to expand and relocate the center to a new location on the Franklin Square campus, according to a statement from MedStar Health spokeswoman Debra Schindler.

The resource center is home to the Health Care for the Homeless Baltimore County clinic, which provides comprehensive care to the county's homeless residents.

Through the collaboration of MedStar Franklin Square and Baltimore County agencies, the clinic provides primary medical care to men, women and children and case management and referrals for mental health, dental and substance abuse needs, according to Schindler.
