Man Robbed After Picking Kids Up from Babysitter

Two men held up a third man at gunpoint before stealing his money and hitting him in the head.

A man was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted as he picked his children up from their baby sitter on Sunday night in Middle River.

According to police reports, the 32-year-old man arrived around 8 p.m. to an apartment on the 9800 block of Tailspin Lane to pick up his 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter from their baby sitter.

After picking up his children, the report continued, he placed them in the car then two men approached him from behind. Police said one of the suspects displayed a handgun and asked him for his money.

The second suspect then stole $600 from the victim before a struggle ensued and the victim was struck in the head, according to the report. The injury caused the victim to bleed and temporarily lose consciousness.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 6-foot-2 with a thin build while the second was described as a black male, 5-foot-6, 170 pounds. Both wore ski masks, black coats, black pants and gloves and were last seen running toward Compass Road.
